Top 5 Rated Olympic Programs (August 23, 2004)

Comments Men's table tennis singles gold medal match between Wang Hao (CHN) and RYU Seung Min (KOR) received the highest TV rating on Monday (12.8%), attracting an average 7,066,000 viewers during the seventy minutes long broadcast on CCTV 5. Chinese men's basketball's one-point comeback victory (67-66) over Serbia and Montenegro was the second highest, rated at 8.1% with an average 4,481,000 audience. It was followed by men's table tennis singles bronze medal match between WANG Liqin (CHN) and WALDNER Jan-Ove (SWE), a 6.6% rating game. CCTV 5 got significantly high market shares, close to thirty percent, from the three most watched sport programs during the night time bands from 18:00 to 23:30.
