The Wrestling Arena for the 2008 Olympic Games is to be built in the Eastern Area of China Agricultural University and design tender  for the Gymniasium has begun. The University is now organizing the Competition for Architectural Design of China Agricultural University Gymnasium (Wrestling Arena for the 2008 Olympic Games), inviting both domestic and international design companies, firms and institutes well experienced in designing gymnasiums, indoor swimming pool and multifunctional sports centers to participate in the design competition.  8 individual participants or consortiums will be selected through the prequalification to run for thel winner.

The area planned for the gymnasium is 3 hectares, total construction space is 30,000 sq.m with 10,000 seats. The gymnasium will be used as a multi-functional indoor sports center of China Agricultural University and will hold various sports competitions post 2008 Olympics.
